Is there someone in your life who is more important to you than they realize?
I recall someone from when I was traveling — but I don’t remember where. Places and times start to blend together after a while. I was either in Denmark or Virginia. I saw a young man, maybe 20 years old, getting an ice cream cone from a vendor on one of those hot Danish or Virginian days. He took a bite of the cone and whirled around to everyone else on the street and exclaimed, very profanely, that it was the best thing he had ever tasted. I remember him having nice, but casual clothes. Most of all, I remember his accent. I vividly recall how colorful and charming that Virginian or Danish accent sounded. Nobody even minded him yelling or swearing so much, because it was only about ice cream, and he seemed so likeable. I also got an ice cream, but when I tried to yell and cuss, people looked at me like they were thinking “he’s definitely not from Denmark or Virginia”. That guy never even knew that he taught me a very important lesson — I am not from those places.
