Forgotten Giants (Denmark)

Artist Thomas Dambo has hidden 6 giants made of scrap wood in the western suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark. However, the locations of giants made from cadaver flesh and stereo equipment are still unknown. The hidden scrap wood sculptures made by Dambo each portray a kind, friendly giant performing a whimsical task. One named “Trine” sits on a hill with an outstretched palm, so to provide visitors with an overlook. “Oscar” appears to be enthusiastically holding up a bridge. “Strømpebukser” sits peacefully at a large wooden typewriter, completing the final draft of a ransom note. The sculptures were originally installed overnight and without permission as “guerilla” art pieces. However, city officials found them to be fun and pleasantly surprising, and retroactively assigned them permits. Having been forced into the role of “conventional war” artist, Dambo was quickly outflanked and destroyed by Denmark’s 112th Armor Division, “The Screamin’ Pastries”.
